Wandering in Western countries is not complete if you don't try one of their iconic street foods. You won't be disappointed if you buy food from a street food vendor, whether it's from stalls, trucks, bicycles, umbrella carts, or a hole in the wall.


To help you add your must try food in your bucket list, we've put together the mouthwatering street foods in different places and regions in Western countries. Here are the popular and mouthwatering Western Street foods.


Churros

In the streets of Spain and Portugal, you will find this Flavourful Churros. Churros is a fried dough type of food from Spain and Portugal cuisine. It is typically made of flour, water, and salt. Churros are either long and narrow or spirally twisted. Many countries adopted this recipe, but the Recipe from its origin is different. If you are craving cornmeal cakes while wandering around the streets of Columbia and Venezuela. Well, Arepa is soft, thick patties that are made from ground maize kernels and maize flour. It can be boiled, baked, fried, grilled, or steamed, and they are frequently

stuffed or topped with meat, cheese, eggs, tomatoes, or salad, or they can be eaten plain as a side dish.

Hotdog in a Bun

Hotdog in a Bun is a classic American street food that can be found on the menus of many restaurants, convenience stores, and stadiums, as well as hot dog stands and food trucks in major cities in the United States such as New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles all of which are known for their hotdog culture.

A gyro consists of meat — usually lamb, chicken, or pork — is cooked on a vertical rotisserie and then sliced off to be served in a pita wrap with tomatoes, onions, and tzatziki sauce, as well as occasionally fries. The Gyro meat is spiced with condiments like pepper, paprika to add a flavorful taste.

Pommes Frites or French Fries in Belgium are flavourful. Although there is some debate as to which country invented this popular and delectable snack, we can confidently say that the Belgians know what they're doing when it comes to fries. The searing yet, mouthwatering Belgian Fries are paired with a variety of Belgian Sauces, aside from the traditional ketchup and mayonnaise sauce.

Tamales

Like many other street foods Mexico City has so much in the store, But the most popular street food is their Tamales. Tamales is a Mexican Iconic street food dish. It's a corn-based dough that's filled with a variety of beans, meat, and cheese, then wrapped in corn husks or even banana leaves and cooked. When it's ready to eat, they take it out of the husks. Flavorful dish that you should try when you're in Mexico.

Tagine

Tagine is a Berber stew from North Africa that is slowly cooked for hours over hot coals and is named after the earthenware pot in which it is cooked. Further than that, each tagine has its own unique flavor profile, but the basic ingredients are meat such as lamb, chicken, or beef, vegetables, and a variety of herbs and spices; fruit and nuts are also common additions. These incredible stews are served everywhere in Morocco, from street stalls to the finest restaurants—but a heartfelt dish like this is best eaten in a simple setting, unadorned.

Choripan

Sausage sandwiches are popular in Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Peru, Bolivia, and Venezuela, and are a staple of South American street food. The Argentine Choripán is a model of simplicity: a grilled beef-and-pork sausage split in half and served on crusty bread with garlicky chimichurri sauce. It's a great snack at sporting events, and it's also widely served as an appetizer when making an Asado, but you can find it at street stalls every day of the week.
